Thank you for being here!

A Message From Our SF Chapter President

Hello! My name is Kathy Chang, and I am the San Francisco Chapter President of Project by Project. It is my honor to welcome you to our organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Plate by Plate. This event is shaped by our mission to develop leaders through innovative philanthropy and our commitment to developing a more empowered Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Plate by Plate is a celebration of the Bay Area’s exquisite culinary offerings, local AAPI community organizations, and the many volunteers who make the event possible. Each facet of tonight’s event has been meticulously planned and executed by our passionate, talented, and 100% volunteer-led Steering Committee.

This year, Plate by Plate is dedicated towards our theme of Education Access. In 2023, our organization has focused on a wide range of issues aimed at ensuring equal and equitable access to high-quality educational opportunities. As you indulge in the night’s activities, remember that each bite, sip, and donation is a contribution towards supporting both Project by Project’s mission as well as the incredible work of our 2023 beneficiary partners, the Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC) and the East Bay Asian Youth Center (EBAYC). On behalf of Project by Project, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We sincerely hope you enjoy your night and have an unforgettable Plate by Plate experience!

About Our Silent Auction

Whether it's a fine dining experience, a gourmet cooking class, an AAPI-founded food & beverage bundle, or a weekend getaway, our silent auction has it all. Your participation in this auction goes beyond acquiring treasures; it's about making a difference. By contributing to this cause, you're helping students, families, and individuals access the educational resources they deserve.

How Does Our Silent Auction Work?

Browse and Bid: Take your time to explore our fantastic selection of items and experiences. From artwork to travel packages to unique collectibles, we have something for everyone.

Place Your Bids: When you find something you love, simply write your bid amount and phone number on the provided bid sheets. Keep an eye on your favorite items to make sure you remain the highest bidder.

Winning Bids: At the end of the evening, the highest bidder for each item wins! We'll announce the winners so you can claim your items.

Join the excitement, bid generously, and stand together in supporting education access.

About Project by Project

Project by Project (PbP) is a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit organization. Our vision and mission is an empowered Asian American community by developing leaders through innovative philanthropy.

PbP selects a different theme to champion every year. This year our theme is Education Access; we are focused on issues that aim to ensure equal and equitable access to high quality educational opportunities for our local communities.

Our Community Work

Our chapter then selects a community-based non-profit organization that is focused on issues within that theme and tailors a year-long campaign to help its fundraising, community outreach, and public awareness efforts. Our 2023 beneficiary partner is the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.

We have also partnered with the East Bay Asian Youth Center (EBAYC) this year. Their mission is to support all youth to be safe, smart, and socially responsible.

PbP has held workshops with the kids at Manzanita Seed Elementary School and also donated food, clothing, hygiene products, furniture, and school supplies to the students and families.

Be sure to stop by OACC and EBAYC’s booths to learn more about them and what they do!
