These Hidden Plates Giveaway Contest Rules (“Official Rules”) govern the Hidden Plates Giveaway Contest (the “Promotion”), where Sponsor will randomly select an eligible participant to receive the Prize described below. This promotion is in no way sponsored, administered, or associated with Google, Instagram, or their respective related companies.

1. PROMOTION PERIOD. The Promotion begins at 3pm PT on September 3 (the “Promotion Period”) and ends six (6) days later at midnight on September 7.

2. ELIGIBILITY. The Promotion is open only to individuals who (a) are eighteen (18) years of age and older as of September 3,  2026, (b) are legal residents of the United States, and (c) have an active Instagram account. Members of Project by Project and their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agencies, contractors, consultants, representatives, and the immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, and spouse of each) of and/or persons living in the same household as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.

3. PRIZE DESCRIPTION. One (1) winner will receive: (a) one (1) General Admission ticket to Plate by Plate Los Angeles 2026 (ARV $200), and (b) one (1) silent auction item (approximate ARV $100), selected at the Sponsor’s discretion. Total ARV of the prize is approximately $300. Any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and all fees, costs and expenses relating to acceptance and use of any prize not specifically stated herein are the sole responsibility of the individual prize winner. Prize cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash; however, Sponsor reserves the right to make equivalent prize substitutions at its sole discretion. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes after delivery to the winner. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Only the number of prizes stated herein are available to be awarded.

4. PARTICIPATION. During the Promotion Period, Sponsor will hide one or more QR codes at real-world locations in the Los Angeles area and will post hints on Instagram (@pbpla) as to their general whereabouts. To participate, participants must: (a) locate a hidden QR code at one of the hinted locations; (b) scan the QR code, which links to a Google Form requiring the participant’s first and last name, email address, phone number, and public Instagram handle; (c) take a photo at the location as proof of visit and submit it with the form; and (d) post that photo (or another photo taken at the location) to their Instagram Story or feed, tagging both @pbpla and @platebyplatela, with their profile set to public for the duration of the Promotion Period. Each fully completed form submission that meets all requirements in (a)–(d) equals one entry.

5. ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY. Participants may also enter the Promotion by emailing marketing.la@projectbyproject.org during the Promotion Period with their name, email, phone number, and Instagram handle. All such requests must be received prior to the end of the Promotion Period. All entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned. Limit one entry per person regardless of method of entry. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other method will void such entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Proof of submission of entry does not constitute proof of receipt of entry. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned to entrants.

6. SELECTION AND VERIFICATION OF WINNER. Within seven (7) days after the end of the Promotion Period, Sponsor will select one potential prize winner through a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The odds of winning are based on the number of eligible entries received. The potential winner will be notified by direct message through their Instagram account and/or email within one (1) day after being selected. Except where legally prohibited, the potential winner must complete, within twenty-four (24) hours of being notified, an additional form for more information and a release in order to claim the prize. If the potential winner cannot be contacted twenty-four (24) hours after the first attempt to contact them, or fails to complete and return the request for more information within the required time period, or is not available to accept delivery of the prize, or is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the prize to an alternate winner selected by a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Up to three alternate drawings will be held, after which any remaining prize will remain unawarded.Verification of Potential Winner: The potential winner is subject to verification by Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion, including verification that the entry photo and social post correspond to a hidden QR location. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until entrant’s eligibility has been verified, and entrant has been notified that verification is complete.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR FORM ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION, OR TO REMOVE, RELOCATE, OR TAMPER WITH A HIDDEN QR CODE OTHER THAN AS PART OF LEGITIMATE PARTICIPATION, OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Sponsor or anyone acting on their behalf will not enter into any communications with any entrant regarding this Promotion, except as expressly set forth in these Official Rules. Sponsor reserve the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the entry process, the placement or integrity of any QR code, and/or the legitimate operation of the Promotion; to violate the Official Rules; or to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person, including trespassing on private property to retrieve a QR code. Sponsor and their agents are not responsible for (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion; (2) technical failures of any kind, including malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion, including, but not limited to, removal, alteration, or relocation of a hidden QR code by a third party; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from an entrant’s participation in the Promotion, travel to or from a location, or receipt, use, or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Promotion, provided that if it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance of the Promotion, or any part of it, for any reason, Sponsor, at their discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance. If, for any reason, the Promotion is not capable of running as planned due to causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the operation, administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, Sponsor may, in their sole discretion, void any suspect entries and (a) cancel or terminate the Promotion (or any portion thereof) and award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment, or (b) modify the Promotion or suspend the Promotion to address the impairment and then resume the Promotion in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules.

8. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT SPONSOR, GOOGLE, INSTAGRAM, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, REPRESENTATIVES, CONSULTANTS, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, LEGAL COUNSEL, ADVERTISING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, PROMOTIONAL, FULFILLMENT AND MARKETING AGENCIES, WEBSITE PROVIDERS, WEBMASTERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS (“THE RELEASED PARTIES”) WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY, RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF THE PRIZE, ENTRY, OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROMOTION OR ANY PROMOTION-RELATED ACTIVITY, INCLUDING TRAVEL TO, FROM, OR AT ANY LOCATION, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, INVASION OF PRIVACY, OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY. THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANY PRIZE CANNOT BE AWARDED DUE TO INTERRUPTIONS DUE TO ACTS OF GOD, ACTS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTERS, WEATHER, OR TERRORISM. 9. PUBLICITY RELEASE. EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION CONSTITUTES THE WINNER’S GRANT TO SPONSOR (WHICH GRANT WILL BE CONFIRMED IN WRITING ON REQUEST OF SPONSOR), ITS RELATED ORGANIZATIONS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND THOSE ACTING PURSUANT TO ITS AUTHORITY, THE RIGHT AND PERMISSION TO PRINT, PUBLISH, BROADCAST, AND USE, WORLDWIDE IN ANY MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB, AT ANY TIME OR TIMES, THE WINNER’S NAME, PORTRAIT, PICTURE, VOICE, LIKENESS, OPINIONS, ENTRY PHOTO, AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOMETOWN AND STATE) FOR ADVERTISING, TRADE, AND PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES (INCLUDING ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER’S NAME ON SOCIAL MEDIA) WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION, COMPENSATION, PERMISSION, OR NOTIFICATION. ENTRANTS AGREE THAT SPONSOR SHALL OWN THE ENTRIES, WHICH WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED OR RETURNED, AND THAT SPONSOR AND ITS DESIGNEES SHALL HAVE THE PERPETUAL, WORLDWIDE RIGHT TO EDIT, PUBLISH, AND USE THE ENTRIES IN ANY WAY AND IN ANY MEDIA FOR TRADE, ADVERTISING, PROMOTIONAL, AND/OR OTHER PURPOSES AS SPONSOR AND/OR ITS DESIGNEES MAY DETERMINE WITHOUT FURTHER CONSIDERATION TO ENTRANTS OR ANY THIRD PARTY.

10. APPLICABLE LAWS AND JURISDICTION. This Promotion and these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to its conflict of laws provisions. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. All disputes arising out of or connected with this Promotion will be resolved individually, and without resort to class action. All judgments or awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket damages (excluding attorneys’ fees) associated with participation in this Promotion and shall not include any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages. These rules cannot be modified or amended in any way except in a written document issued in accordance with law by a duly authorized representative of Sponsor.

12. PRIVACY. Personal information submitted in connection with this Promotion, including information submitted through the Google Form, is subject to Project by Project’s Privacy Policy included here.

13. WINNERS LIST. A complete copy of these Official Rules can be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Project by Project, 1145 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90017, or by emailing a request to marketing.la@projectbyproject.org. To learn the name of the winner, any person may mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Project by Project, 1145 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90017 with Attn: Winner List — Hidden Plates Giveaway 2026. All such requests must be received within thirty (30) days of the last day of the Promotion Period.
